The CEMTEC gas sampling system was developed for continuous flue gas analysis in cement kiln inlet chambers and in other extremely dusty high-temperature processes such as in lime works. The goal is to increase product quality while reducing fuel consumption and simultaneously decreasing harmful emissions. Especially with regard to the increasing use of alternative fuels in rotary kilns and large combustion chambers, the analysis of these systems is gaining in importance. Furthermore, the stricter emission targets for cement plants in Germany, Europe, the USA, and other countries worldwide require continuous process measurements for SNCR control to achieve low NOx combustion. Process temperatures up to 1,400 °C, dust concentrations up to 2,000 g/m³, high mechanical stresses from falling material, and ambient temperatures up to 50 °C place extremely high demands on all types of technology. The unique features of the CEMTEC offer an optimal solution for continuous measurements under extreme conditions such as those found in furnace inlet chambers.
Cross-section: Gas inlet CEMTEC probe tube
The CEMTEC is self-cleaning, which enables continuous measurement and thus 95% availability during the process. In addition to the in-situ sensors for oxygen and COe analysis, the extractive analyzers are supplied with dust-free sample gas for the determination of, for example, SO₂, NOₓ, or CO₂. Thanks to mechanical cleaning, the uninterrupted extraction and analysis of process gas is possible over extended periods: The filter/seal at the gas inlet continuously breaks down deposits and blockages, ensuring an uninterrupted gas supply. The patented swivel drive rotates the probe at programmable intervals, thus preventing material from accumulating on the probe tube. Together with the powerful pneumatic drive motor, the probe can perform a controlled retraction at any time.
