The CEMTEC gas sampling system was developed for continuous flue gas analysis in cement kiln inlet chambers and in other extremely dusty, high-temperature processes such as lime works. The goal is to increase product quality with reduced fuel consumption and simultaneously reduce harmful emissions.
Particularly in light of the increasing use of alternative fuels in rotary kilns and large combustion chambers, this analysis is becoming increasingly important.
In addition, the stricter emission targets for cement plants in Germany, Europe, the USA, and other countries worldwide require continuous process measurements for SNCR control for low-NOx combustion.
Process temperatures of up to 1,400°C, dust concentrations of up to 2,000 g/m³, high mechanical stresses from falling material, and ambient temperatures of up to 50°C place extremely high demands on every type of technology. The unique features of the CEMTEC offer an optimal solution for continuous measurements under extreme conditions such as those found in furnace inlet chambers.
Cross-section: Gas inlet CEMTEC probe tube
The CEMTEC is self-cleaning, enabling continuous measurement and thus 95% availability during the process. In addition to the in-situ sensors for oxygen and CO2 analysis, the extractive analyzers are supplied with dust-free sample gas for the determination of, for example, SO2, NOx, or CO2.
Thanks to mechanical cleaning, the uninterrupted sampling and analysis of process gas is possible over a long period of time: The filter/swivel at the gas inlet continuously destroys deposits and blockages and ensures an uninterrupted gas supply. The patented rotary actuator rotates the probe at programmable intervals, thus preventing material from accumulating on the probe tube. Together with the powerful pneumatic drive motor, the probe can perform a controlled retraction at any time.
