Alternatively, the customer can re-use the existing Model 132/218 Westinghouse Filter Head Assembly depending on condition. Flame Arrestor type filter heads are shown with the suffix F/A.

Note: The ENOTEC Thermocouple is a conventional twin element Nickel-Chromium/Nickel "type K" t/c with an Inconel 600 outer sheath, but manufactured as a single leg. It therefore only uses one hole in the ceramic rod in either the Westinghouse or ENOTEC probes.

Note: The Westinghouse Model 218 does not have an exchangeable measuring cell. For a short time Westinghouse manufactured a Model 225 similar to the Model 218 which had a replaceable cell. The ENOTEC Z02 -0001 is the direct equivalent having both a 4 holes and 2 hole flange fixing with screws so as to fit existing ENOTEC or Model 225 probes. It is supplied with Cell Cap, Screws and S/S Gasket.

Note: The Westinghouse filter head assembly used a gasket and garter spring seal to prevent unfiltered flue gases from entering the support/protection tube and possible corrosion of the probe. The ENOTEC filter head assembly uses a stainless steel collar to seal the inside of the protection tube. This has been found to be more reliable without the need for consumable parts. Therefore it is recommended that an ENOTEC Filter Head assembly be used as an upgrade where possible.

Note: The Westinghouse Shields are all made from Stainless Steel 316, ENOTEC also uses 316, but they are also available in Inconel 625 for harsher processes.

Note: ENOTEC only use a two bottle kit. As the reference point, ENOTEC uses Instrument Air which is known to be 20.95% Oxygen.

Note: The use of the ENOTEC SME 5 series electronics with existing Westinghouse probes will greatly enhance the accuracy of reading from the instrument due to the superior Microprocessor heater control. Optimum accuracy of +/- 1% of reading can be obtained by using the full ENOTEC system that uses a superior probe heater control circuit via the SME 5 microprocessor electronics.

Note: The Westinghouse Analogue boards are now obsolete. Spare cards are not available.

Depending on the location of the electronics the SME-5 may need to be housed in a EExd field housing. Please refer to your local ENOTEC office or representative for details. SME-5 is also available in standard IP54, NEMA 12 and 19" rack control room housings.

Note: The ENOTEC air set can be installed, as an option, in the SME 5 field electronic housing.

1) The ENOTEC part number above is for a complete inner probe assembly. This includes ceramic rods, clips, screws etc., Platinum wire and pad, heater, T/C, all mounted and assembled ready to insert into a 132, 218, 218A, 225, 240 style probe. This assembly does not include the field replaceable measuring cell.

2) Modifications can be made to existing 218 "fixed cell" probes to convert them into a field replaceable type using the ENOTEC cell, but consideration should be given to the overall age and condition of the equipment to reach the best option for the customer in terms of value, cost effectiveness and performance. Please consult your service centre.
