ENOTEC designs, builds and commissions a complete emission measurement system for the Trbovlje Cement Plant in Slovenia.
In the course of the EU extension into Eastern Europe with its emission standards for power stations and cement plants, each new entry candidate country must be brought into line with the current standards and practices of the European Union (EU). ENOTEC being a well established instrument company in the emissions business, and with its considerable experience, has designed and built a complying emission measuring system to the EU 13.BImSchV standards for the cement plant in Trbovlje, Slovenia.
The project covered Design, Engineering, Installation, Commissioning and complete documentation for the system.

The Trbovlje cement plant was originally built 125 years ago, and has today an annual production output of approx. 8 million tons cement.

The installation of a flue gas purification system in 1990 meant the dust emission levels could be significantly lowered to approx. 60 t/year, but without the additional installation of an emission measurement system, the EU standards could not have been achieved. |
With the implementation of the project ENOTEC used their own analysers as well as analysers made by other well-chosen companies. ENOTEC is able to use a variety non-standard
analysers in each case depending on the project specification and the customer preferred choice of equipment.
The Trbovlje Cement Plant used the following analysers:
- Dust measurement (FW 100)
- Volume flow measurement
- Temperature measurement
- Oxygen measurement (wet) (OXITEC 5000 from ENOTEC)
- CO/SO2/NO analysis (ADVANCE OPTIMA)
The turnkey emission system was built by ENOTEC using an air-conditioned analysis container and the entire emission measurement was installed by ENOTEC staff members in the cement plant Trbovlje.
