Enotec, the process, environmental and combustion measurement company and manufactures for Westinghouse Electric In North America, introduces a new realistically priced oxygen probe that reduces costs when replacing or servicing existing Westinghouse Model 218 probes.
The New OXITEC® probe is fully certified to the CENELEC International Safety Standards incorporating the recently ratified 2nd Editions of the EN50014 and EN50018 to comply with the EEXd IIC T3 for hazardous area use. The OXITEC® electronics package is also certified for EEXD IIC T6 areas. The recently introduced 2nd Edition standards replace the former standard issued in 1977.
In Ex Probes are available in 2 standard lengths; 18", 3ft ( 0.5m, 1m ) and can be installed directly into the existing former Westinghouse mounting protection shield and bolted in place. The existing cable can be used to connect the Ex probe to the existing Westinghouse electronics package with complete compatibility.
The New OXITEC® probe is believed to be the only probe tested and certified to higher temperature process working temperatures, rather than the usual ambient temperatures. All the key components are user-friendly field replaceable components. These include the Zirconium Oxide measuring cell, Heater, Thermocouple, Full-length Signal Wire, Ceramic Rods, and Flange Sleeve
Assembly.
The new probe can be used in hazardous areas where potential explosive mixtures of gas can exist, either inside or outside, of the process typically found in Refineries and Petro-Chemical plant zone 1 areas.
For further economy and to eliminate the need for costly kits, all components and parts of the new EEx probe are individually available as spare parts. Complete Service; Repair and Upgrade facilities are available on request.
